Our Fairness Pledge

01

Where Your Money Goes

We’re open about how each £1 ticket is broken down.
Payment processing fees charged by providers such as Stripe are deducted from the portion of your entry that contributes to the competition. Stripe currently charges a fee of 1.4% plus 20p per transaction. This means that for a single £1 ticket purchased alone, approximately 21p in fees is deducted. However, when multiple tickets are purchased in the same transaction, the 20p fixed fee is shared across all tickets, reducing the per-ticket fee (for example, buying 5 tickets for £5 would incur fees of approximately 27p total, or about 5.4p per ticket).
A separate 10p from each £1 entry is retained by Frats Ventures Ltd to support the ongoing costs of operating the platform, including website hosting, maintenance, security, and administration.
The remaining amount from your entry contributes directly to the competition itself. There are no hidden deductions and no surprises after entry — we clearly explain how every portion of your ticket is allocated.

As our platform grows and operational efficiencies improve, we are committed to reducing our retained costs over time, allowing more of each entry to go directly toward the competitions

02

Informed Participation

We believe players should always be able to make an informed decision before entering a competition.
That’s why we display the number of tickets sold for each competition. This allows you to see how popular a competition is and decide for yourself whether you want to take part.
Nothing is hidden behind countdowns or pressure tactics — the choice is always yours.

03

Fair Participation Limits

All competitions have clearly defined participation caps.
These limits exist to ensure competitions remain fair, manageable, and transparent, and to prevent unlimited entry scenarios that could disadvantage participants. Any limits are visible upfront on the competition page, so you always know where things stand.

04

Equal Treatment for All Entries

Every valid entry is treated the same, regardless of how it’s submitted.
Whether an entry is made online or via a free postal route, it has the same chance of winning. There are no hidden advantages, boosted odds, or preferential treatment.

05

Independent Random Winner Selection

When a competition closes, winners are selected fairly and at random.
To help ensure this, we use Random.org to generate random results. Random.org uses atmospheric noise to produce randomness, rather than predictable algorithms, and is widely recognised as a reliable source of random number generation.
All valid entries received before the closing date are included in the draw, and each entry has an equal chance of being selected. There are no weighted outcomes, manual interference, or adjustments after entries close.
We believe using an independent random number generator is an important part of running competitions fairly and transparently.

06

No Moving Goalposts

Once a competition is live, its key details — including ticket price, entry limits, and draw date — are clearly stated.
We don’t quietly change the rules mid-way. If something genuinely needs to be updated due to circumstances beyond our control, we communicate this openly and clearly.
